Blue Ridge Pharmacy Sponsors Asheville Gastroenterology 5K

Blue Ridge Pharmacy was pleased to act as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2011 Asheville Gastroenterology Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk. The event was held on March 26^th and featured 450 registered participants. Over $12,000 was raised and donated to the Mission Healthcare Foundation to help fund the Mission Cancer Center Facility.

“Blue Ridge Pharmacy is thrilled to have had the opportunity to once again sponsor this important event,” stated pharmacist Wes McCall. “The outstanding staff at Asheville Gastroenterology does a wonderful job of organizing the 5K. It is a lot of fun to participate, and most importantly the money raised will help insure that western North Carolina has a first-class cancer treatment facility.”

This is the second time in the two-year history of the event that Blue Ridge Pharmacy has participated as the Presenting Sponsor. We would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success!

Chamber Announces Sky High Growth Awards-Blue Ridge Pharmacy Winner for a Third Time

This past October, the Asheville Chamber recognized 51 winners of the 2010 Sky High Growth Awards. The ceremony and networking event took place at the beautiful North Carolina Arboretum on a perfect fall day and was sponsored by Advanced Business Equipment and the Advocates for Small Business.

Recognized were businesses that had experienced growth in revenue and/or employment. These 51 businesses collectively represent over 1400 full-time jobs, over 250 part-time jobs and multi-millions of dollars in gross sales. Blue Ridge Pharmacy Wins Two Awards

Blue Ridge Pharmacy was awarded the “Sky High Growth Award” from the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony held October 29th. This is the second consecutive year Blue Ridge Pharmacy has been honored for experiencing outstanding growth in sales and/or employment.

Blue Ridge Pharmacy was also recognized as the October “Small Business of the Month” by the Chamber of Commerce. Pharmacist Wes McCall and Director of Sales and Marketing Ben Wax were on hand to accept the award. Blue Ridge Pharmacy wishes to thank the Chamber of Commerce for its continued support of small business and our outstanding customers for their loyalty.

Blue Ridge Pharmacy Moves to Paperless Software

Blue Ridge Pharmacy has recently purchased DocuTrack® software, which will greatly reduce its reliance on paper as a means of processing and filing prescriptions. DocuTrack® provides a document management system to help pharmacies better serve their customers while at the same time conserving natural resources. You may also have noticed our Toyota Prius® delivery vehicle around town.
